Summer of 2018

Is over.  I kept up on my blog ZERO times...  Just like that, I'm back in school in less than 1 week!!!  Before I go back, I will be jumping on here as much and time allows and try to update on EVERYTHING that has be going on.  Just because I haven't gotten on here doesn't mean that life has been slow.  It's been to fast for me to keep up!  Updates coming as proof!

How is it July already???

What is going on???  It's already July.  Summer is ROLLING.  I'm proud of myself because I have been taking TONS of pictures.  I rarely put them on the computer but I take a ton.

Here's some updates...

We went down to Granna and Pops house for a weekend.
Playing on Grannas IPad
Brady and Addy playing in the bird bath

Addy checking out Pops friends
We had a blast like we always do!  We also went to the zoo with Nana...

We also have been walking A LOT this summer.  We've seen some deer but we've kinda realized that it's pretty where we live!  We are pretty lucky...

Told ya
We also went to the carnival with Nana and Brian, Leslie, Willa and Beau.  Here are a few of the good pictures from that evening...

We even went up and bothered Mommy at work!  We went to the playground and to a pond where Brady got to practice casting his rod without trees around.

Fun fun fun.  Oh yeah, someone is pretty much a "big kid now"...

Until next time...

One full week down!

So today marks the 1 week anniversary of my summer break.  Hurray!  I feel like the summer is off to a pretty productive start.  That said, we clean the house and within 15 minutes it is destroyed again.  That sucks.

In other happenings, miss Adelynn is attempting to learn how to go potty and shes doing a great job!
She's not happy at all!

We've been taking walks everyday.  One while mommy is at work and usually again when mommy gets home.  We've been enjoying the outdoors and luckily for us, it hasn't been too awful hot!

Brady can't find any fish in the lake
Addy loves the playground!
So pretty
OK, as we keep going, I will keep posting stuff.  I'll leave you with a video of Addy playing baseball...  Enjoy!

She's on it!

2 for 2

That's right.  I've been off school for two days and this is my second post.  BOOM.  Kids nap time = daddy blog time apparently...

So let me stay by saying on the first day off from school, Brady randomly tied both of his shoes AND lost his first tooth!  The excitement can't keep up, I wouldn't think...  He told me to stop pulling on his tooth because it hurt.  He didn't know that it was already in my hand.

Told ya

I really want to take walks everyday this summer.  Lucky for me, it hasn't been too hot the past few days.  The kids like being outside and it's good exercise for me too.  Lord knows that I need all I can get.  I guess one of the positive things about daily walks is that we live in a pretty beautiful place so there is always a good photo op.  Check out the past two days...

nice shades dude...

Also, why does Addy look like she is 16 years old...

The following picture is Addy putting her arm around her brother because she loves him so much.

Then, when he realizes what's going on, he's outta there!

It's gonna be fun this summer!!!

It's summmer again!!!

Well, believe it or not it's summer time again!  That means that Daddy Daycare is open again.  It is also the last summer before our little baby Brady starts Kindergarten.  What???  I don't know how this is happening.  He lost his first tooth last night too.  In other news, I'm old.

Whatever.

I am going to try really hard to keep up with this thing this summer.  Who knows, maybe I'll keep it going past the summer (like I've intended to do for like 5 years)...

I've only got something like 6,000 pictures to choose from since my last post but I'll throw up some highlights and try to stay current from here on out.

Addy LOVED Santa this year
Hail to the Redskins

Addys first Ponytail

My man got him a Bike!!!

They love each other so much
So there it is.  I will do a much better job this year.

It's getting really random...

Literally.  Since summer is winding down, I'm trying to check things off the list.  One of those things was something that we used to do all the time when I was a kid, drive to the boat ramp and check the river.  So, I was randomly by the boat ramp with the kids and I said, "Brady, do you want to stop at the boat ramp?":  He said, "Absolutely!".  Then we stopped.

This picture is awesome.  Brady loved it and Addy loved it.  Well, the beginning of it.  After the picture, she made a break for it.  Brady grabbed her like a good brother and she went down.  Not a big deal.  Well, she went down in the mud.  Kind of a big deal...  So big, she was carried back to the truck in a diaper by an aggravated dad.  Oh well, it was a good picture...

Addy wore a tank top to bed one night.  Needless to say, she probably won't anymore...

Then she got mad about something.  Probably at something pretty important.

Whatever.

Last weekend, Brian and I went fishing.  We were going to put the canoe on the river but didn't because it was supposed to be 115 degrees or something.  That's hot.  Paddling.  No shade.  No Thank You.  I'm not going to say who caught more fish or the biggest one but it wasn't Brian...  It's ok.  He beats me ALL THE TIME.  Every dog has his day...

Looking at the pictures though, I'm mad at him now.  My fish is bigger.  Seriously.  He takes a picture of me from like 50 yards away and I'm like touching his fish!  Not fair.

I know that at 33 I'm way to old for certain things on social media.  There is also a lot of things that I don't understand.  With that said, I'm on Snapchat now.  I don't get it but it's hilarious kinda.  Although, I get mad that once I send a picture to my 1,000's of followers (Carly is the only one) I can't see it again.  This is a funny picture I took on Snapchat...

Yep, sometimes in the summer I get a little bored.  It is funny though...

Lastly, I'll say this.  This summer was harder.  Addy is everywhere and two kids moving is more difficult then 1.  Even so, I have LOVED being home with the kids everyday.  It gets tough sometimes.  That's OK.  They (plus Carly) mean everything in the world to me.  I hope that one day, they look back on these summers and cherish them as much as I do.  Nothing makes me happier then spending time with these two crazy, smart, beautiful kids.  I hope they will always remember how much they mean to me and mommy.  If they don't, maybe they can look back on the family blog and see how much.

BRADY AND ADELYNN - YOU MEAN EVERYTHING TO YOUR MOMMY AND DADDY

There.  Now PLEASE start cleaning up this house (like I've asked you to do for the last two months)!!!

Nap time again...

Well, the kids are napping which means that I have 1 - 3 hours of "me" time again.  That's it for the day...  It's ok though, I wouldn't have it any other way.  Let's start this post out by giving you an update on Addy's attitude.

Huh?
I think that I asked her to show me where her ear was or something.  This was her reaction...  Whatever Addy.

Oh yeah, she can open the child locks on the cabinets.  That results in me saying "Addy NO" several, hundred times a day.

This is what happened when she got into where the spices are.

Yep, that's powdered ginger
Sigh.

On the way to Granna and Pops' house last weekend, we stopped at Bass Pro Shops.  We did this because Brady goes crazy for the fish tank ONLY.  That's not true.  I really wanted to stop there and I hyped up the fish to get Brady excited too.  When we got to the tank, Addy was SCREAMING and pointing at the fish so I just had to let Addy get down and see it too.  The picture that I got was great...

This is a framer
This is a HUGE catfish

Pops and Granna have a family of deer that live right outside.  Pops puts corn down and they come and eat it.  Well, Brady had to go with Pops to put the corn out this time.  Pops said that Brady was "peeling" his fingers off of the corn so he could do it by himself.  He thinks he's so big...

Once the corn was out, we knew who would be showing up.  We just sat at the window and waited.  For about 3 minutes and then... Deer.  I guess "if you dump corn, they will come".  I'll have to remember that come September...

We all went down to the lake and went for a nice little walk. Brady took his fishing rod...

Then a memory happened.  Brady caught his first bass!

Nice face Brady

Addy was happy too!

Proud...

Don't leave yet summer.  Please.
