back again...

I have debated if I should wine and complain on here and I'm going with, I will.

School = crap.  All anyone cares about is the test scores.  Teach to the test, teach to the test...  BS.  The kids are maxed out on testing crap and they are acting like they have just been released from a cage that they have been living in for the past 5 years.  I am literaly at wits end.  I don't know if I can keep this up.  I'm not really sure how I have ANY hair (there's still some up there) on the top of my head!  Last week Friday I wrote 8 referrals and sent two kids to the office.  Children, if you cough in my direction, I will write you up.  I'm not playing anymore.  I hear, "Mr. B is getting mean!" and "Mr. B used to be so nice."  I might be nice again next year.  As far as this year goes, forget it.

Other interesting news, I, Chris Baugher, am one of the slowest drivers in the USA.  Carly continues to tell me that and I believe it to be true.  Well, as I was driving Ms. Daisy, I have gotten pulled over 2 times in the last 3 days for SPEEDING.  Apparently I, "take off too fast."  So Carly says.  I also have gotten off of both tickets.  I started crying and they let me go...  Actually, the first cop was a Michigan Football fan.  We talked Michigan football for 10 minutes and he let me go.  Go Blue.  The second cop was a jerk.  I was clocked getting off the highway, onto the feeder going 67.  The speed limit on the highway is 70.  He was writing me a ticket and got a call so he had to go.  Too bad, so sad.  Idiot.  I was very angry with him.  These almost tickets has caused me to drive even slower.  I seriously might as well ride a bike now because I'm not going to speed.  I will go 10 under intentionally.

Long post, bear with me.  This just in, coaching kids in baseball that do not give a crap about baseball is hard.  I have a mix of decent players and sucky players.  They are 12 so whatever.  However, the disrespect level of some of the kids...  WOW.  One kid couldn't make the game last week because he "slapped" his mom.  I told his brother to tell him that when he comes back, I was going to slap him with my bat...  OK, I wanted to.  I had a kid apparently quit last week because "he wasn't getting the calls" from the umpire.  What a joke.  The other coach was sad, I said good.  If he is going to cry like a baby, he can play Sudoku at home instead of baseball.  Sudoku is awesome btw.  SO AGGRAVATED.

Last post.  Today is a special day because it is my wife's birthday.  I never get her enough for these days but I just hope she knows that she means the world to me and I love her.  And now she is as OLD as me...  Just 2 old asses.  Living in Houston, TX.  Life is good

Recent activity in life

Well, most recently I went turkey hunting on Sunday.  We didn't see any birds but we did hear about five different gobblers.  Pretty successful for the first time hunting turkey in Texas!  Following my hunting trip I fell asleep on the couch around 4:30 and remained that way until right around 9:15.  To top it all off, I went to bed that night and proceeded to fall directly asleep AND had a hard time getting up in the morning.  Some husband I am.

Going backwards from there, my baseball team (assistant only.  If I was manager, it would be a different story) has fallen to 0-3.  That means zero wins and three loses.  I became so frustrated last Saturday, that I thought very hard about sneaking to my truck in the parking lot and leaving the field, mid game.  I doubt that I would have returned either.  Why it is so hard to NOT throw the ball around carelessly is beyond me.  In our first three games, we have lead in the final inning by at least 4 and we lost ALL THREE (3) GAMES.  The good news, if this were the Major Leagues, I would be getting ready to be the interim manager because the head guy would be getting the ax in about a week.  The bad news, it's not and I'm not and this sucks.
