It's getting really random...

Literally.  Since summer is winding down, I'm trying to check things off the list.  One of those things was something that we used to do all the time when I was a kid, drive to the boat ramp and check the river.  So, I was randomly by the boat ramp with the kids and I said, "Brady, do you want to stop at the boat ramp?":  He said, "Absolutely!".  Then we stopped.

This picture is awesome.  Brady loved it and Addy loved it.  Well, the beginning of it.  After the picture, she made a break for it.  Brady grabbed her like a good brother and she went down.  Not a big deal.  Well, she went down in the mud.  Kind of a big deal...  So big, she was carried back to the truck in a diaper by an aggravated dad.  Oh well, it was a good picture...

Addy wore a tank top to bed one night.  Needless to say, she probably won't anymore...

Then she got mad about something.  Probably at something pretty important.

Whatever.

Last weekend, Brian and I went fishing.  We were going to put the canoe on the river but didn't because it was supposed to be 115 degrees or something.  That's hot.  Paddling.  No shade.  No Thank You.  I'm not going to say who caught more fish or the biggest one but it wasn't Brian...  It's ok.  He beats me ALL THE TIME.  Every dog has his day...

Looking at the pictures though, I'm mad at him now.  My fish is bigger.  Seriously.  He takes a picture of me from like 50 yards away and I'm like touching his fish!  Not fair.

I know that at 33 I'm way to old for certain things on social media.  There is also a lot of things that I don't understand.  With that said, I'm on Snapchat now.  I don't get it but it's hilarious kinda.  Although, I get mad that once I send a picture to my 1,000's of followers (Carly is the only one) I can't see it again.  This is a funny picture I took on Snapchat...

Yep, sometimes in the summer I get a little bored.  It is funny though...

Lastly, I'll say this.  This summer was harder.  Addy is everywhere and two kids moving is more difficult then 1.  Even so, I have LOVED being home with the kids everyday.  It gets tough sometimes.  That's OK.  They (plus Carly) mean everything in the world to me.  I hope that one day, they look back on these summers and cherish them as much as I do.  Nothing makes me happier then spending time with these two crazy, smart, beautiful kids.  I hope they will always remember how much they mean to me and mommy.  If they don't, maybe they can look back on the family blog and see how much.

BRADY AND ADELYNN - YOU MEAN EVERYTHING TO YOUR MOMMY AND DADDY

There.  Now PLEASE start cleaning up this house (like I've asked you to do for the last two months)!!!

Nap time again...

Well, the kids are napping which means that I have 1 - 3 hours of "me" time again.  That's it for the day...  It's ok though, I wouldn't have it any other way.  Let's start this post out by giving you an update on Addy's attitude.

Huh?
I think that I asked her to show me where her ear was or something.  This was her reaction...  Whatever Addy.

Oh yeah, she can open the child locks on the cabinets.  That results in me saying "Addy NO" several, hundred times a day.

This is what happened when she got into where the spices are.

Yep, that's powdered ginger
Sigh.

On the way to Granna and Pops' house last weekend, we stopped at Bass Pro Shops.  We did this because Brady goes crazy for the fish tank ONLY.  That's not true.  I really wanted to stop there and I hyped up the fish to get Brady excited too.  When we got to the tank, Addy was SCREAMING and pointing at the fish so I just had to let Addy get down and see it too.  The picture that I got was great...

This is a framer
This is a HUGE catfish

Pops and Granna have a family of deer that live right outside.  Pops puts corn down and they come and eat it.  Well, Brady had to go with Pops to put the corn out this time.  Pops said that Brady was "peeling" his fingers off of the corn so he could do it by himself.  He thinks he's so big...

Once the corn was out, we knew who would be showing up.  We just sat at the window and waited.  For about 3 minutes and then... Deer.  I guess "if you dump corn, they will come".  I'll have to remember that come September...

We all went down to the lake and went for a nice little walk. Brady took his fishing rod...

Then a memory happened.  Brady caught his first bass!

Nice face Brady

Addy was happy too!

Proud...

Don't leave yet summer.  Please.

My free time is fading...

Actually, there was never much free time to begin with!  Nap time is full of me studying and doing school work.  Gross.  Nap time also isn't as long as it used to be of course...  Some days the kids get dressed and some days they don't.  It doesn't matter though right?  Or does it...  It doesn't really matter though because during the summertime, during the day, when mommy's not home, I'M THE BOSS!  That's right, ME!

Anyway, let's start off by talking about the time a couple of weeks ago when we we went to the zoo with Nana.  This is an annual thing!  This time, something hilarious happened though, Brady got bit by a duck!  I even took a picture of the monster!

MEAN GUY
It was funny because my sweet little Brady was trying to be so nice and give the duck a piece of food.  Also because he didn't "really" get hurt.  He was very upset though.  He's fine...

Some other pictures of some happier times at the zoo for Brady.

Fun times...

We made it to the playground again.  As you can see, Addy just loves it there.  Growing up moment, I can remember when Brady hated the swings.  Now he just wants to be pushed and get away...

Addy hates things in her hair.  I've been trying all summer to get things in her hair and have been failing miserably.  When I stick something in her hair, I try to take a picture.  Here we go!  So pretty but she HATES IT.

Brady doesn't want to do anything but play baseball.  All of the time, regardless of what he's wearing.  Here's the proof...

Told ya.

I'll leave you with this, Brady does a great job daily of doing school work.  Addy isn't quite ready yet so she does other things.

About a month left...

and believe it or not, I'll be back in school (sad face).  We've really had a lot of fun this summer and there is NO slowing down.  Ever morning, as long as the kids get up before 10:00, we take a walk.  We usually walk a long way too.  Brady has totally bought in because he wants more than anything to be "big and strong".  Here's a couple pictures of our adventures...

Telling me he see's a deer.  He didn't but whatever...

Taking a break and taking in a pretty nice view.
I can't get pictures of Addy because 1. I'm pushing her in the stroller and 2. She's more then likely asleep.  Immediately. As soon as we start...

I took Brady fishing one evening last week and he caught 4 sunfish.  I swear.  Of course I don't have the pictures to prove it but he did.  Believe me or don't, whatever.  We know the truth!

Sitting there reeling um in...
We go to Nana's house on Fridays and mow the grass.  Well, I do, they play...

Front porch sittin...

Fighting with light sabers.  They have never seen Star Wars but whatever...  It was fun to watch.
Yesterday on our walk, we found a secret playground!  It isn't really a secret but I've never been there AND it's a long walk away.  Hopefully he'll forget about it.  Probably not...

I can remember when he needed my help with everything.  Those days are gone...  He's so strong and independent.  I love him so much...

Sunday was a LONG day in the car but they got to go to Granna and Pop's house for a little bit.  Needless to say, I think Granna and Pops wore them out...  We could actually hear Brady drooling.  It was gross...

Today we went and got Brady's haircut.  After that, because he's been asking and talking about dad a lot lately, we went up to the cemetery.  It never gets easier for me and I know that Brady feeds off of my emotions up there.  I will never stop talking to him about dad though.  I'm so glad that he talks about Pappy so much.  Who knows how much he remembers, but we'll keep dads memory alive through constantly talking about him.  We do it all of the time.  I know Brady misses him so much.  We all do.

When we got home, they were clowning around as usual, so I took a picture.  It pretty much sums up our summer time together...

I just may be the luckiest guy in the world...

Still rolling...

So Daddy Daycare is in full swing now!  Usually, if the kids get up before it gets too hot outside, we go for a walk.  Several times, Brady has said "Oh well, it's too hot Dad."  Occasionally this is before 8.  Nice try Brady.  Addy loves walking and today she fell asleep on our cruise.  I need to go because I'm learning what it's like to have a job where you don't walk nonstop like I do.  During the school year, I would get 10,000 steps on my fit-bit before lunch.  Now, I can't get 10,000.  EVER.

PhotoOp during our walk
Addy usually looks like this in the morning, as long as Brady doesn't wake her up...

When he does wake her up, she looks like this in the middle of the day...

Followed by this...

You can't say he doesn't love her though.

Last Saturday, we had a suprise party for Great Grandad.  HE'S 80!!!

Addy being Addy

The kids even danced a little bit!

Until next time!
