Snow!

It's snowing outside in Hagerstown! I guess being away from it for so long has actually made me afraid of it. Brady on the other hand is amazed by it. I keep taking him to the door to look and he smacks the glass and then stares in amazement.

FuMbLe...

Brady and I were playing football last night with an ice cream scoop.  He won and laughed A LOT! Believe what you wish, I let him win.  Enjoy...

We did it!

Well, we barely did it. Brady did it! We never really made it know to everyone but Brady had surgery yesterday to fix something that he was born with. Nothing major but as parents, it was so scary. Brady did so good! 24 hrs after his surgery, we are on the way home to get some rest! We went to John Hopkins and we were so impressed. Everyone there was so great. They acted like Brady was the most important little boy that they have ever seen. They were worried if he would be able to eat right away and 2 hours after surgery, he ate 10 ounces! He is so amazing. Carly and I are so blessed that everything went as well as it did. This is just another case of the power of prayer. God is good and we are so thankful that this little thing is over.

Crying

Brady is crying in the back seat. He's not happy about something...

Here comes Santa Clause!

We finally took Brady to go see Santa today. He did really good! Wasn't scared at all and he was very intrigued by Santa's gloves! A little sleepy but I think we got a really good picture...

House update...

My phone apparently does not like to stay on when it gets cold... Because of this, i don't have as many pictures ad I should. That said, we went to the house on Sunday and there is some progress being made! Sidewalk is poured, granite is in, stone is up and the trench on the side of the house has just past inspection so bring on the electric! It seems like it's so close yet so far away. SOON. We hope.

Taking it away...

Well, Brady is 5 days in and still has not had a pacifier. The first 2 nights = scary. The last 3 nights = not quite as scary. He is doing so good. I know he wants it really bad but I also know that he'll get over it. Proud daddy moment! He is finding other things to shove in there, as you can see... He's the man!

Gobble Gobble

Well, leg one of Thanksgiving is down and we're on the way to Carly's parents. Just left my Mom and Dad's house. Sad to go but we had a great time. Linda, Lewis and Jeff came over too. Brady was hardly messed with at all... It was Brady's first Thanksgiving and he got to eat a little grown up food too! He was a big green bean fan. Everything else, the verdict is still out. We are so blessed and thankful that we got to spend Thanksgiving this year with our families for the first time in a long time. I hope everyone takes a second today and gives thanks for everything that they have. I know I did! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Trust

The Midas touch. I'm getting the oil changed. That's it. Nothing exciting... Unless oil changes excite you. If so, you're weird.

What's new

Well, we didn't get anything yesterday. Between me and Brian we saw about 12 though. That's hunting I guess...

In house related news, Carly and I went down to check on the house Friday evening. Mom and Brady came too. We were really happy when we got there. The stones were there and ready to go up! All of the cabinets were in as well as the tile in the kitchen, bathrooms, pantry and laundry room! Pretty cool. It won't be long till we're in there... Hopefully!

Hunting

Just checking in 15 feet above the ground in a tree... Crazy really when you think about it. No deer yet for me. Saw 3 squirrels though. Well, gotta go hunt. Until next time...

Well, tomorrow Brian and I are hitting the woods. Its open season for Brian but I am in search of a deer with no horns. In a perfect world, brian gets his buck tomorrow. I already got a buck with my bow so I have to shoot 2 does now before I can shoot another Buck. Poor me. I'm hittin the bed so I'll be ready. The Baugher boys are coming for ya tomorrow deer!

No one told me...

That it is really hard once a baby starts moving... Tonight Brady crawled to Carly's purse and then chose to take everything he could get his hands on out of Carly's purse... I know, sounds funny. It wasn't. Especially when he got so excited that he puked on Carly's phone. Sounds funny now right? Still wasn't. At the end of the day, I still love that little monster more than anything in the entire world. Well, except for his mommy!

And he's off...

You can literally act like a horse racing announcer with Brady at this point. If you take your hands off of him, he is gone! It is hilarious. Tonight we had our first reach for a electrical plug... Maybe we can have the builders baby proof the house because he is on the move big time. He also seems to really want to taste Daisy's dog food because that's where he ends up 90% of the time... I might let him try it if mommy isn't home. I'm kidding... Ok, he's a recent picture of our guy. Till next time!

Family Pictures

We came down to Carly's parents house yesterday to relax for the weekend and to pick up our pictures that we got taken down here a couple weeks ago. I know I may be a tad coincided in saying this, but the best pictures I have ever seen, Hands Down! The pictures really got me thinking just how happy I am and how blessed we have been this past year. I love my little family so much!

Crawling

So, Brady is mobile now. He has decided to crawl and stand when he wants to which is most of the time. Stay tuned for videos of destruction...

Another update!

Well, I got the Blogger app on my phone so be prepared to be overwhelmed with all of the info on our lives. Brady is getting so big. He is literally going to crawl any day now! He gets up on his hands and knees, rocks back and forth, laughs and lays back down. This little boy is so funny! He laughs at everything. Brady has brought so much joy into our lives that I almost can't believe it. I had no idea how happy a child could make you before we had Brady. I do now. I can not wait for the next little smile or laugh. The cries don't even bother me because I just want to work as hard as I can to make them stop. Here are a couple pictures of our little man! Enjoy!!!

Updates everywhere!!!

Well, life has happened in the past 5 months. I promise that I will attempt to do better with the blog. Ok, I'm lying. I'll try to post when I remember though, how's that? SO much has happened in our lives recently. I really don't even know where to start. Here's a quick rundown...
1. Carly got a job in Maryland
2. I was lucky enough to also get a job in Maryland.
3. We moved back home to Maryland.
4. We bought a house that is being built.
5. We should be moving in in the next month...

That is a VERY brief update with me only leaving between 10 and 90 percent of our lives. I will put up pictures of random things as soon as I have a minute to breath. Who knows when that will be though... Here is a picture of our house a couple of weeks ago. Enjoy!

New Brady Happenings!

So our little man is almost 4 months old!  I can't believe it either.  Carly went back to work a couple of weeks ago and as of yesterday, I am done with school for the summer!  When Carly went back, Granna (Carly's mom) came down do help with Brady and Nana (my mom) is here to visit now but after this upcoming week, it's Daddy and Brady time all day..  I can do it.  We have been so lucky to have as much help as we have since Carly has gone back to work.  I'm putting a ton of pictures up so be prepared...

See, he's pretty awesome.  OK, let's back up a little with a 3 month old picture...

Three months old and just hangin out in his bumbo chair on the island in the kitchen!  Pretty sanitary I'm sure...

Mommy and Brady just sitting on the couch.

Daddy and Brady watching a Baseball Game.  He asked me if he could watch...  Getting him started early!

Look Dad, I'm bent in half!

Jason's Deli for dinner!  He was so good.

Granna and Brady!

Nana and Brady!

OK, so there ya go.  I tried to catch everyone up as much as I could.  Brady is awesome.  Life is good!

Updates everywhere...

Well, today was the day that Mommy has been dreading since birth.  Carly went back to work today.  I know for sure that it was really hard for her to leave our little man but he's in great hands cause Granna is here.  She's staying for three weeks and then Nana is coming for a week and a half.  Brady is very lucky.  Carly did so good with him while she was home.  If it were up to me, mommy could stay home with him all the time.  Unfortunately, that's not possible.  Mom and Dad are lucky because we don't have to think of anything as far as day care goes until he's 6 months old.

Anyway, here's some pictures of our little almost 3 month old guy!

 What an awesome guy!

Orioles Baseball

Seriously? My beloved O's are seriously 18-9? They are playing some good baseball and if their pitching keeps up, who knows?  It would be so great for the Orioles to be good again.  Just the thought makes me VERY excited.  It is still funny that in every highlight on ESPN they talk about the other team the whole time, and at the end the say "and the Orioles win the game."  Really?  Oriole haters...  It doesn't matter to me.  As long as we keep playing good, ESPN can talk about the Yankees and Red Soxs all they want.  I'll take the W in the end!

Go O's!

sporting events galore!

Playoff hockey is fun.  The NBA is stupid.  Football draft was fun.  The Orioles playing really good is absolutely AWESOME!!!  First let me start out by saying that I have never been that much of a hockey fan.  I have never been to a game but watching it on t.v. during the playoffs is great!  I don't know any of the rules, all I know is that it's really really cool to watch.  The NBA is a joke!  These people are very very talented.  That said, defense is nowhere to be found.  Call me crazy but I love watching a low scoring defensive game.  The NFL draft is just funny because everyone makes such a huge deal about these 21 year old guys when half of them won't amount to anything.  That said, now on to the real reason I'm writing this...  ORIOLES BASEBALL!!!  Seriously birds, I am so proud of you.  I might not be able to watch every game down here but I check in as if I am.  The Orioles seem to be playing with a little bit of fight in them this year and me likey.  Hopefully some fans will start flocking (like what I did right there?) to the yard and Peter Angelos will go somewhere else soon.  I love you Orioles!  Keep playing hard and Yankees suck.  That's all.

Best text ever!

So in the middle of yelling about something at work, Carly sent me this text message.  Needless to say, I was not mad anymore.

And I know the video is upside down but I don't care.  I can't fix it and I don't even care.

Someone really likes Patty Cake.  I'm not sure though.  Watch the video and see if you can find out who...

Getting laughed at

Brady = Hilarious.  That little boy loves laughing.  The other day when I got home from work, he was laying out on his changing table in the kitchen.  Carly told him that daddy was home and when I walked over to greet my son, he made this face at me...

Seriously, I don't think I'm that funny looking...  It was pretty funny though.  This boy loves cracking up.  He's doing this thing when he has a huge laugh, he sticks his tongue out too.  He has also found his hands.  If his pacifier falls out, it's ok because he will throw his hand in there right away...  This produces a large amount of drool that usually finds a home on my t-shirt.  It's weird how things that were gross before are funny now.  Now we laugh about it and move on.  I'll take a little slobber though if I get to see that face.

Weekend Update!

Today is Saturday the 14th of April.  Tomorrow is the 15th of April.  That mean that tomorrow, Brady will be 2 months old.  That also means that he gets to dress up and we get to take his picture in his two month old tie sticker!  He is very excited.  We are also getting some pretty great pictures of the little guy.  He smiles like every 5 minutes so it's great!  I think the camera is distracting to him because I swear whenever we put it up, he stops smiling.  Stubborn already...  Here are just a couple of the awesome pictures that we've been getting...

Pretty Freakin Happy
Funny lookin daddy

After he rolled over, very pleased with the events that took place.

This is just a random picture that I found of Carly and I during our last every vacation that we took without a child.

Very pretty, happy family.

This is me petting (kinda) the lama that was outside of our hotel.

Nice bag...

Don't judge me, I'm a dad.

BASEBALL IS BACK!

It is that magical time of year when it starts to get warmer, everywhere but Houston, fishing gets awesome and baseball is back!  I know that I probably won't be super happy for long however, on April 7th, I'm feeling good about my O's.  Arrieta threw a gem yesterday to start the birds year out great.  Today, I'm sayin he could be a  20 game winner???  Just a guess.  I also think that Adam Jones could have a breakout year.  I think the Davis could hit 30 homers and 100 rbi's.  Whatever, let me have my fun.  Even though we might not win the World Series, let's go O's!!!  Also, with the resurgence of the old school hats, the Orioles have the best hats in baseball, hands down.  OK, make me proud O's!

Slack

So every now and then I have been known to slack on my blog.  These past couple of months, I have done more than slack.  I have neglected my blog all together.  For that I am sorry.  I believe that my last blog was talking about how Brady could come "any day now...''  Boy was I right.  Here's how it went down from what I can remember.

On Valentine's Day, we picked Carly's Mom and Dad up from the airport.  She went through the evening not feeling really well.  Not thinking anything of it, we (I) went ahead and went to bed.  At around 1:00 in the A.M., Carly shook my leg.  After I jumped up confused, Carly says, "Sweetheart, I think I'm in labor."  From my point of view, panic immediately set in.  I could basically see my heart beating.  Carly was calm.  Calm as she possibly could be.  I ran down the hallway, in my boxer briefs to wake Mr. and Mrs. Mac up.  We were told to go to the hospital when Carlys contractions were 5 minutes apart.  When I timed them, they were 2 minutes, 1 and a half minutes and 2 minutes and 15 seconds.  I literally almost threw up.  We decided to go on and go to the hospital.  I am not a fast driver however when your wife is almost ready to give birth to your son, you drive faster than normal.  She also informed me that I was okay to run a couple red lights.  (Thank God it was 1:30 in the morning)  Then this happened:

Got to the hospital
Checked In
blah blah blah
at 11:06 a.m., Brady was born

at 11:15, I was still crying
I got to push him to the nursery
After staring at Brady through the glass for 20 minutes, I remembered Carly was upstairs and ran back up to her

Hospital x 2 days
Came home for the first time with a freakin BABY!

The first 6 weeks have been amazing.  I have no idea how many times Brady has made Carly and I smile.  This whole parenthood thing is hard work but it is the most rewarding thing in my life.  To look in his eyes and know that he is me + Carly is pretty amazing.  Life has forever been changed in the best way possible and we know that we have been blessed!

I will try not to make every post that I put up here about Brady but I'm making no promises...  He's a pretty awesome little dude!

Over my spring break, my parents and my brother and his wife came down.  I'm pretty sure that everyone was fairly impressed with Brady.

Here are a few pictures of the last 6 weeks...
