Best text ever!

So in the middle of yelling about something at work, Carly sent me this text message.  Needless to say, I was not mad anymore.

And I know the video is upside down but I don't care.  I can't fix it and I don't even care.

Getting laughed at

Brady = Hilarious.  That little boy loves laughing.  The other day when I got home from work, he was laying out on his changing table in the kitchen.  Carly told him that daddy was home and when I walked over to greet my son, he made this face at me...

Seriously, I don't think I'm that funny looking...  It was pretty funny though.  This boy loves cracking up.  He's doing this thing when he has a huge laugh, he sticks his tongue out too.  He has also found his hands.  If his pacifier falls out, it's ok because he will throw his hand in there right away...  This produces a large amount of drool that usually finds a home on my t-shirt.  It's weird how things that were gross before are funny now.  Now we laugh about it and move on.  I'll take a little slobber though if I get to see that face.

Weekend Update!

Today is Saturday the 14th of April.  Tomorrow is the 15th of April.  That mean that tomorrow, Brady will be 2 months old.  That also means that he gets to dress up and we get to take his picture in his two month old tie sticker!  He is very excited.  We are also getting some pretty great pictures of the little guy.  He smiles like every 5 minutes so it's great!  I think the camera is distracting to him because I swear whenever we put it up, he stops smiling.  Stubborn already...  Here are just a couple of the awesome pictures that we've been getting...

Pretty Freakin Happy
Funny lookin daddy

After he rolled over, very pleased with the events that took place.

This is just a random picture that I found of Carly and I during our last every vacation that we took without a child.

Very pretty, happy family.

This is me petting (kinda) the lama that was outside of our hotel.

Nice bag...

Don't judge me, I'm a dad.

BASEBALL IS BACK!

It is that magical time of year when it starts to get warmer, everywhere but Houston, fishing gets awesome and baseball is back!  I know that I probably won't be super happy for long however, on April 7th, I'm feeling good about my O's.  Arrieta threw a gem yesterday to start the birds year out great.  Today, I'm sayin he could be a  20 game winner???  Just a guess.  I also think that Adam Jones could have a breakout year.  I think the Davis could hit 30 homers and 100 rbi's.  Whatever, let me have my fun.  Even though we might not win the World Series, let's go O's!!!  Also, with the resurgence of the old school hats, the Orioles have the best hats in baseball, hands down.  OK, make me proud O's!

Slack

So every now and then I have been known to slack on my blog.  These past couple of months, I have done more than slack.  I have neglected my blog all together.  For that I am sorry.  I believe that my last blog was talking about how Brady could come "any day now...''  Boy was I right.  Here's how it went down from what I can remember.

On Valentine's Day, we picked Carly's Mom and Dad up from the airport.  She went through the evening not feeling really well.  Not thinking anything of it, we (I) went ahead and went to bed.  At around 1:00 in the A.M., Carly shook my leg.  After I jumped up confused, Carly says, "Sweetheart, I think I'm in labor."  From my point of view, panic immediately set in.  I could basically see my heart beating.  Carly was calm.  Calm as she possibly could be.  I ran down the hallway, in my boxer briefs to wake Mr. and Mrs. Mac up.  We were told to go to the hospital when Carlys contractions were 5 minutes apart.  When I timed them, they were 2 minutes, 1 and a half minutes and 2 minutes and 15 seconds.  I literally almost threw up.  We decided to go on and go to the hospital.  I am not a fast driver however when your wife is almost ready to give birth to your son, you drive faster than normal.  She also informed me that I was okay to run a couple red lights.  (Thank God it was 1:30 in the morning)  Then this happened:

Got to the hospital
Checked In
blah blah blah
at 11:06 a.m., Brady was born

at 11:15, I was still crying
I got to push him to the nursery
After staring at Brady through the glass for 20 minutes, I remembered Carly was upstairs and ran back up to her

Hospital x 2 days
Came home for the first time with a freakin BABY!

The first 6 weeks have been amazing.  I have no idea how many times Brady has made Carly and I smile.  This whole parenthood thing is hard work but it is the most rewarding thing in my life.  To look in his eyes and know that he is me + Carly is pretty amazing.  Life has forever been changed in the best way possible and we know that we have been blessed!

I will try not to make every post that I put up here about Brady but I'm making no promises...  He's a pretty awesome little dude!

Over my spring break, my parents and my brother and his wife came down.  I'm pretty sure that everyone was fairly impressed with Brady.

Here are a few pictures of the last 6 weeks...
