Daddy Daycare Update

We're going strong over here at Daddy Daycare.  Kids are thriving and I'm still moving around so it's all good.  We had the opportunity to go to The Owen's house for the 3rd of July and then to Carly's parents for the weekend.  As usual, I took a ton of pictures and as usual, I'm going to post them on here for everyone to see how wonderful our children are!  I know, I'm bias but who cares.  This is my blog...

I must say, this stay at home dad thing isn't so bad.  I get to be with my kids everyday and watch them grow.  Brady shows me everyday how smart he is and Adelynn is laughing and making Brady and I laugh just as much!  But most importantly, I get to go to Costco during the week in the middle of the day when people don't knock you over with their cart to get 1 on the 300 remaining two-packs of hot sauce that you aren't even getting!  I'm kidding, being with the kids is by far the most fun and most rewarding however I will admit, going to an uncrowded Costco isn't bad either...

So happenings from the past week...

Summer Vacation for 1 week

Well, I've been on vacation for a week and I'm doing good!  Adelynn had one tough day that was hard and I think that I cried almost as much as she did.  Hopefully that isn't the norm though...  Last Saturday we went up to PA and hung out with the family.  Of course, there was a pool and Brady didn't want to do anything but swim so I got 0 pictures.  Sorry.

On Sunday we went over to moms house for fathers day for a cookout/hangout.

There isn't a day that goes past where I don't think about Dad.  Happy Fathers Day buddy.  We all miss you.

 

It's summer (Daddy Daycare) time!!!

The school year is over and that means, sleeping in and having no responsibilities for over two months!  Well, that's what it meant 5 years ago...  Now it means that I'm up at the same time and I get to spend all day with the kids.  It means that I can drink my coffee out of a cup and not a travel mug.  As far as my dress goes, I will continue to wear mesh shorts and t shirts all summer so that doesn't change.  Sorry, you could have been a P.E. Teacher too...  I couldn't think of a better way to spend the summer.  And it means that I'll be able to play around with the blog a little bit if I can coordinate it with the nap times of the kids.  Maybe...

Hopefully I'll be able to get Addy's room painted before she is in high school.  I've said it before and I'll continue to say that I can not believe that I'm going to have a purple room in my house!  I love it though.  I might as well start scaring all the little boys in the neighborhood.  Brady has my back too.  He told Pops that, "There will be no boys" so we're on the same page which is great!  He has been so great with his sister and I hope that they will be really close when they grow up.

We're living the dream over here...  I've even got the pictures to prove it!

Happy summer!!!

Adelynn is here!!!

So a few months ago, Carly and I got blessed again with the birth of our daughter Adelynn.  We didn't find out what we were having so needless to say, when I saw it was a girl (which doesn't happen much in my family) I was ECSTATIC!!!  It feels amazing.  A little boy who is perfect and now a little girl???  Carly and I are so lucky.  I'll say this, having two kids is different.  It really is a team effort now.  I will also say this, compared to little boys clothes (and the way that I dress) little girls clothes are...  different.  I can usually just rip Brady's clothes off of him while he is running.  The 32 buttons on the back of EVERYTHING that Addy has makes that difficult.  The are cute though!  I guess that I can't have two kids that wear mesh shorts and t-shirts can I?  Whatever, I'll live.  It's hard to put up any pictures because in the first 3 months of Addy's life, we've only taken about 8,000 pictures (give or take), but I guess I can find a few.  I'll try to get better at doing this because, don't get too mad, I only have 8.5 more days of work until SUMMER BREAK!!!
