More Carnival Fun

Well, we did it again!  Last night we met up with Nana and went to another carnival!  Brady as usual, had a great time.  Addy was mad because we chose to push her in a stroller instead of let her roam through thousands of people.  We made the better choice because before we left, she got to get out.  That resulted in Addy walking around without a care, butting in front of whoever she wanted.

Here are some of the pictures from last night...

Also, Brady insisted on trying to climb the ladder.  This is a "big kid thing to do.  He let us know that he is in fact a big kids now several times last night...  :(  Our boy is growing up.  He made it to like to forth step.  I KNEW he would fall off on the first.  Dad underestimating him already...

This is what Addy looked like for most of the night until she got turned loose.  I guess it wasn't great just watching her brother ride rides and have fun...

Just waiting her turn.  When she got out, we (she) made our (her) way towards the concert.  When she got there, Brady REQUIRED her to dance with him.  She wasn't really into it.

My man just wanted to dance!

Also, Brady got to milk a fake cow before we left!  He complained that his hands got dirty...  Guess he loves cows from a far.  He definitely could not be a farmer!

Another one in the books!  The Baugher Family Summer rolls on!!!

Until next time.

Addy ALERT...

So Brady is a great watch dog.  By that, I mean every time Addy does something "bad" he screams, "ADDY ALERT, ADDY ALERT".  It's great...  I'll catch him doing it or I'll set him up and let everyone see how at 4 he tells on his sister DAILY!

Beginning of summer update!

Well, I've only technically been off work for a couple days and this is post number 2 already!  Hurray for me!

A couple of weeks ago, all of the daycare kids had a night out at Chuck E. Cheese's.  Nana even met us there.  It was pretty awesome.  Brady and Addy has already been there more than I have in my life, that's one time.  When we pulled up, Brady started saying how "Beautiful" the walls were.  Then when we went in, he freaked out.  He literally just ran around in circles for about two hours...  It was pretty awesome.  He even had time to ride a couple of rides with his little sister!

Look at that Brady!
That's amazing!

And now I present the many faces of Addy...

Sad

Happy
Asleep

That pretty much sums up my EVERYDAY.  Gotta think on your feet because you never know just which one you're gonna get!

Brady and I met Nana and went to a carnival.  Judging by the pictures, Brady didn't have too much fun.

Brady likes carnivals...

School's out...

For one day anyway.  Then I have to go back for two days.  Then it's the weekend.  Then I'm off on Monday and then I have to go back on Tuesday.  THEN schools out...  For like 2 months.  Then I go back again, but that's not important.  What is important is between the Baughers crazy schedule and summer break, I might have time to do one or two of these!  That would be good because poor Addy has been shortchanged.  If it wasn't for Facebook, no one would even know about her probably.  Well, that's not true but you get the point.

Anyway, it's time to do this blog again.  Last post that I did, Brady signed up for tball.  Well, tball is over now and it was a blast.  Carly and I were so proud of him.  He is literally addicted to baseball.  EVERY SINGLE DAY he wants to play.  He walks around the house hitting things with a bat.  He asks DAILY if we can go outside and play.  I can only hope his love for baseball stays strong because daddy sure loves it.  What four year old will run downstairs to check the score of the Oriole game one last time before going to sleep at night?  Brady does.

Pretty good form for a 4 year old...
And by the way, my tball team was a coach pitch team.  We don't need any batting tee...  Yep, that's right I was the coach too.  I've coached before but NOTHING was even close to being as rewarding/fun/special as it was watching all of those 4,5,6 year olds getting better at baseball everyday.  What a year.

Yeah, so pretty special times...

Speaking of baseball, we all went to an Orioles game and Brady got to run the bases at Camden Yards for the first time (the next might be as a pro).

Told ya
Also, this tremendously cute thing happened...

Layered up!
OK, so this post was all about baseball...  I'll do better (for the next two months).  Up next, carnivals and other things from the life of the Baughers!

I'm horrible at this...

There, I said it.  But it's kinda hard to keep up a blog when you have two kids and a full time job!  Lay off...

OK, I'm done whining.  The reality of it all is that life is good.  The kids are growing and getting smarter everyday and it's so great to see.  Brady and Addy bring us so much joy it almost hurts.  Still, that's not much of an excuse for someone who is trying to make a blog for his kids to look at one day and make fun of Dad.  I gotta do a better job.

Updates (even though I won't even come close to everything that's going on)...

  • Brady is signed up for T-BALL (and I'm signed up to "help" coach).  As parents of a little boy, needless to say we're rather excited!  He's been practicing as much as he can when it below freezing outside and he is SUPER excited.  I doubt as much as mommy and I though...

  • Addy has been up to some things!

Yeah.  That is happening...

We're supposed to get something like 14 feet of snow over the next couple of days so maybe I'll have some time to get back on here and document some kids playing in the snow...

Until then, enjoy some more random pictures from the past few months.

It's almost done...

Yet again, summer has come and gone.  So many things happen and as I've gotten older times really does seem to go so fast.  One of the best things about being a teacher is that I get to spend 2 1/2 months at home with the kids.  That's also one of the hardest things too I think.  If there was any way possible, I would never leave my house and just play all day with the kids.  It is the best feeling in the world to be able to see my kids growing up right before my eyes everyday.  They get smarter everyday.  I swear, it's almost like their looks change everyday.  I get happier everyday.

As I sit here and watch Adelynn sleep on the floor and wait to hear the little Brady footsteps coming down the stairs, I just realize how blessed Carly and I are.  I know other people might not think so, but WE are the luckiest people in the world.  Being an adult is really hard work sometimes.  Our last few days have been "crazy" to say the least.  But when we give Brady a big hug or snuggle Addy and give her a big kiss, it's all good again.

I'm going to miss drinking coffee from a cup and not a travel mug starting Monday.  I'm going to miss being able to wear mesh shorts and t-shirts all day.  Well, nevermind.  That won't change but still, you understand.  What I'll miss most of all is being home with my kids.  So as happy and I am to start getting paid again, I would gladly trade it all in to be able to hang out with Brady and Addy all day.

Next summer will be different.  The kids will be older, Carly and I will be older and my "summer beard" will be a little more gray (probably).  It won't be the same but I hope it's as perfect as this summer was...
