Feelin pretty weird this morning. I got up, went downstairs and drank coffee. I'm usually 30 minutes into 4th grade by this time but until the end of August, 8:30 is coffee time along with the game show network. Actually, today is pretty busy. Camden has a vet appointment this morning and I have to go to the dry cleaners and drop my suit off to get cleaned. What a start to summer!
I get really scared when I have to take Camden to the vet alone. For those of you who don't know, our dog, best dog ever, probably has the worst breath and teeth ever. Carly insisted yesterday that it is a "genetic" thing. They always tell me about his teeth at the vet like I don't know this. We, Carly and Chris Baugher, as loving parents to our son, Camden McDonald Baugher, refuse to put him to sleep to get his teeth cleaned. Camden is so smart that if he had thumbs, I'm about 75% sure that he would brush his own teeth. He doesn't, we're not brushing them and that's how it is. We are still good parents too!
Apparently it is snowing in hell because it rained in Houston yesterday evening. And by rained, I mean the house almost blew away. The patio chairs did blow across the backyard. That's right, we got the typical Texas thunderstorm. You know, the kind where even though you know it's thundering and lightning outside, you still make little girl noises when it does because it's so loud and scary... What, that's just me??? Sure it is... Camden did his usual "panting" act in the storm, however, I suppose because he is almost 49 years old it was not as bad. He did refuse to eat a sausage patty that was placed in his bowl until after the storm was over though. When the thunder stopped, he showed the sausage patty who the boss was. I believe that Houston is still 10 inches below normal rain fall for this time of year but hopefully yesterday was a start.
Well, with summers off maybe I'll keep up with this. Although I'm not sure how exciting it will be...
