Brady is sick

Well, daycare has done it again. Brady has an ear infection, an upper respiratory infection and baby bronchitis. Thanks random children.

That said, he is still doing awesome stuff and I'm still taking pictures...

Sick day...

Well, Brady wasn't allowed to go to day care today because he had a fever yesterday. This meant that I had to take the day off and play with my non sick child all day. Poor me. Look how sick he looks...

Settling in...

So we've been in the house for over a month now and I'm happy to say that MOST everything is out of boxes...  We still have a couple things to put away but it's starting to come together.  It will probably take us until the end of summer to get totally moved in.  Whatever.  We have realized however that New Market is apparently in a different region then every other town around us.  It snows here when it does nothing in Frederick.  I shovel the driveway here when it's raining at work.  It's crazy.  All things considered though, it's all good here. 

Brady is growing like a weed.  (You like how I did that there?  Totally used something like old people do.  News flash, I'm old.)  He is so smart.  Just recently he has started a little sign language that he is learning a daycare.  Today he kept signing "more" and pointing to his puffs.  When Carly would get him more, he would clap and smile.  Crazy.  In baseball news, Brady is beginning to get really good at throwing.  Not sure which arm he wants to throw with though...  He changes up all of the time. I hope that he throws with his right hand but maybe hits left handed.  I guess we'll see soon enough.  He also is so close to walking that it's scary.  Yesterday he took 5 steps all by himself.  Needless to say, Carly and I were very excited. 

Last night Carly and I were laughing at just how much our lives have changed in the past year.  Brady was almost done cooking and we lived in Houston a year ago.  Today, he's currently napping and we live in Maryland.  In 5 days he will be a year old...  That is unbelievable.  He has totally consumed mine and Carly's life and we wouldn't want it any other way.  We are so incredibly blessed and lucky for everything in our lives.

Growing

Brady is growing up. I knew that it would happen but it's still kind of hard. He's borderline walking and making sounds that sound a lot like words now. Here are a few pictures of our little man...

Updates

I feel like I call every post Updates... Sad but that's what they are I guess. Things are finally starting to come together with our home. We've got TV, Internet an almost have all of the boxes unpacked. They might be unpacked but they are not even close to being put away. It's a process. One thing that we've noticed already is that we have no where near the closet space that we had in Houston. Looks like our basement is going to be used for storage for a while. It's not finished so eventually I'll finish it but not now. It's so hard to finish unpacking because Brady is so mobile now, he's gone if you don't keep your eyes on him... He's standing up on everything and walking around but he's just not ready to let go and do it by himself. That's ok. One thing that he loves to do more than anything is make a break for the stairs and attempt to climb them. He can make it all the way up too. (Thanks Granna!) He walks laps around the coffee table in the family room, and occasionally stop to look at you and laugh. Then he's off again. We took him for a walk yesterday and he loved being outside. Now if we could just get this weather to cooperate with us maybe he could do that more often... I think he's going to love being on the water like daddy because when we were trying to take his picture, he wouldn't stop looking at the lake! He was amazed...

Carly went to Ocean City last Saturday night so it was the boys home alone. My parents came down and helped out until around 7:30 and then it was all me. I think I did a pretty good job too! He was asleep by 8 and slept until after 7. To my surprise when I went in to get him, he was happy. Great. When I went to pick him up, he was wet. Not great. Come to find out, his diaper was so full it basically exploded in the middle of the night. There was diaper fragments all over my boy! Bath right away. We got it handled then it was time to play. Never cried about anything. Crazy.

New Year!

2012 has given Carly and I so many blessings. We are so thankful. I hope everyone stays safe tonight and has a great night. I look forward to what 2013 will bring! Happy New Year!!!
